Daily Scripture & Questions

Matthew 19-20 What is God’s will for marriage?  What does Jesus say can break the marriage bond and allow for (but not necessarily demand) a divorce and remarriage?  Why was the rich young ruler saddened?  Why is it so difficult for the rich to enter into the kingdom of heaven?  Why did the laborers (see 20:1-16), who worked all day, begrudge the master his generosity?  Literally, verse 15 would read, “Is your eye evil?”  Do we look with an evil eye at God’s generosity toward other people that is greater than what seems to be His generosity to us?  Are we looking to be first or to serve and even be last?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions
