II Samuel 19-21.  As you read about rebellion and disunity, remember these are the consequences of David’s sin. Ask the Lord to help you to “see” the eventual outcomes if you give in to the temptations that you are facing today . . . and flee the temptation.

Read II Samuel 19:16-23. Are you more likely to pardon your enemies, like David did, or get even with them? Pray for those who are your “enemies” and give them over to God.

Hebrews 13:20-21  “Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,  equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”     

 Praise God for the resurrection of Jesus. Rejoice in His shed blood that provides the eternal covenant we can have with God. Ask for His equipping today — that you and those you pray for may have exactly what you need to be able to do what God is showing you all to do.
