Mark 10; Luke 18:15-19:48 Comparing to yesterday’s readings, why doesn’t Mark include the “except for sexual immorality” clause when recounting what Jesus said about divorce? As Jesus interacts with the rich young ruler, is He mad at him or is there something else that is motivating what He says (see Mark 10:21)? How is the rich man a contrast to the children who come to Jesus? How are the blind beggar and Zacchaeus similar in their search for Jesus? Is your desire similar? Why can Jesus receive worship at His triumphal entry into Jerusalem? Why did He weep over the city? Why did He cleanse the temple?

We can cast our cares on Him because He cares for us. Take a few moments to unpack the backpack of worries that are weighing you down. Perhaps you can make a “worry list” of all the burdens you are carrying. Then give them to the Savior, one at a time.
