Daily Scripture & Questions

Matthew 27; Mark 15 We know that the death of Christ was God’s plan, but there is still responsibility among those who killed Him. Based on these chapters, who should be held responsible? Remember, it was ultimately OUR sins that put Jesus on the cross. Was there any doubt that Jesus was dead? Was there any doubt that the tomb was sealed and guarded? Were Jesus’ enemies knowledgeable of His claims to be the Son of God? How do these historical facts support our faith?

Family Devotions-Scripture & Questions

Read Matthew 27:32-56; Hebrews 10:26-29. Jesus’ suffering was terrible, but the worst part was facing the wrath for OUR sins. If we deliberately go on sinning, making a practice of sin, after understanding this, what are we doing?

Biblical Prayer Focus

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17  “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.”

Praise God for His love, eternal comfort, and good hope, given to us through Jesus. Ask Him to bring comfort to the distressed, and the resolve to be established in the good works and words to which He has called us.
