Daily Scripture & Questions

Matthew 23; Luke 20-21 Which of the condemnations of Jesus against the scribes and the Pharisees are warnings that you need to heed so that you do not end up like them? When Jesus foretells the destruction of the temple and of Jerusalem, He gives some key instructions and encouragements. What are some of these? How do they speak courage into your heart today? How does the Lord want you to apply the warning of Luke 21:34-36? What tends to weigh down your heart? Ask the Spirit to help you stay alert.

Family Devotions-Scripture & Questions

Read Luke 21:10-19. Should we worry about persecution? Is there a difference between being prepared to give a reason for the hope that is within us (see I Peter 3:15) and worrying about having an answer ready for our adversaries? Are you ready to endure for Jesus?

Biblical Prayer Focus

2 Thessalonians 1:3  “We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.”

Give thanks for those Christians you know whose faith is growing by leaps and bounds. Exalt God for their love for fellow believers that you have witnessed increasing. Ask the Lord for faith and love to grow even more.
