Baptism:  If you are interested in learning more about baptism, please contact the office.  It is required that you meet with one of the pastors/elders and discuss what baptism means before you will be considered as a candidate.

Cheers for Boomers:  If you are 55 years old or above, we invite you to “Cheers for Boomers”: a place where people can know your name, hear your story, and help you finish well in your walk of faith! We will gather for a brief time of worship and prayer, and then have an informal time of discussion around small tables where we talk about our lives, our joys and frustrations, and our hopes for the future!  We will meet Wednesday, October 8, 10:00 am-11:30 am, at the church (BR Campus).  Questions? Call the church office.

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast:  Be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, October 19, for the Men’s Breakfast at Two Hats Ranch, from 8:00-10:00 am.  The buffet breakfast is $10.  The guest speaker is Toby Vance.

Do you have the gift of hospitality?  Would you like to help serve our Trinity family?  Do you like to serve “in the background”?  We are expanding the Communion Team.  There are many different parts to preparing and serving communion, and we would love to have you join us in any of these areas.  Communion is generally on the third Sunday of the month.  You would not need to commit to every month, but once or twice a quarter would be most helpful.  “Many hands make light work.”  *Preparing the bread and juice.  This is usually done during the week before or on Saturday morning and takes about two hours.  *Sunday morning.  Set up prior to service, or clean up between services, or helping to coordinate during the worship service.  *Laundering the linens and return to church.  *Contacting and scheduling servers.  Use your  gifts in service for Him.  Contact the church office for more information.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Life Chain:  Today, October 6, 2019, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.  Life Chain is a peaceful, prayerful public witness, standing in honor of over 60 million lives lost to abortion; praying for our nation, for people in crisis situations and for an end to abortion.   It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children, and that the Church supports the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception to natural death.  The event will start at Cedar and State Street, in Big Rapids, across from Burger King.  For more information, contact Kathie at 231-796-3931.

Focus on Life Dinner:  Join us for the Mecosta/Osceola Right to Life’s Focus on Life dinner on Thursday, October 17, at Trinity Fellowship (BR campus).  Tickets are $25 each.  Trevor Pollo, Director of Training for Protect Life Michigan will be the speaker.  Trevor has visited over 100 college campuses bringing the prolife message to both friendly and hostile crowds.  He leads a statewide Stump the Pro-Lifer where he intentionally engages pro-choice advocates in constructive dialogue  and defends the prolife worldview in a passionate, reasoned and scientific manner.  For more information, call Kathie at 231-796-3931.
