Baptism: If you are interested in learning more about baptism, please contact the office. It is required that you meet with one of the pastors/elders and discuss what baptism means before you will be considered as a candidate. The next baptismal service is planned for Sunday, December 2.
Congregational Minutes: The August 26, 2018, congregational minutes are available for your review prior to the congregational meeting next week. They are located in the Information Board by the east entrance at the Big Rapids campus and in the Family Room at the Newaygo campus.
Children’s Christmas Choir: Ages K-5th grade. Practices are Sundays 10:00-10:35 am beginning today, November 18. Theresa Barger will be directing. We are looking for a few CFK approved adults to assist. Children will perform on Sunday, December 23 and Christmas Eve.
The Season of Giving and Blessing: We have a wonderful opportunity during this Christmas season to bless and encourage our Missionary families with a financial Christmas gift from our Trinity church family. Please consider being a part of this Christmas giving season by sharing a portion of the financial resources you have been entrusted with by our Lord, over and beyond your tithe giving. Please log into our Giving page via our website and select Missionary Christmas Gifts. You may also contribute to this same fund with a check: simply include a notation that the check or a specified portion of your check is for Missionary Christmas Gifts. Donations will be taken until today, November 18. These donation funds will be sent to our Mission families in early December.
Meet the Elders: Please take a few minutes to view each elder’s photo, faith journey storyline, and why and how he feels called to be an elder. Click through each by browsing at www.trinityinfo.org — About — Elders, which routes to a collection at https://trinityinfo.org/about/elders/. You can also reach out to any elder directly by browsing “People” at TrinityConnect and using the contact methods shared there.
Do You Like Decorating? Join us on Saturday, December 1, at the BR campus, to decorate the tree, hang the wreaths and large ornaments, and assemble the manger in preparation for Christmas. Call Pastor John to volunteer or get more information.
Can Goods Drive: One of our students is planning a can good drive. The cans will be going to the Reed City Food Pantry to help families in need. If you would like to help, bring your canned food items by November 25.
Voca Lyrica presents its 18th annual holiday concert at 7:00 pm, on Saturday, December 8, in the BRHS Auditorium. The program will consist of sacred and secular works to evoke the Christmas spirit. Also appearing in the concert are the TrebleMakers Youth Choir and the Con Brio Voc Brass Quintet. The evening’s entertainment includes a theatrical performance of the O. Henry short story, “The Gift of the Magi.” Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for Pre K-12 students. Tickets can be purchased in Big Rapids at the Old Pioneer Store, Patterson’s Flowers, Simply the Best in Canadian Lakes or at the door.
