Baptism:  If you are interested in learning more about baptism, please contact the office.  It is required that you meet with one of the pastors/elders and discuss what baptism means before you will be considered as a candidate.  The next baptismal service is planned for Sunday, February 3.

Cheers for Boomers:  If you are 55 years old or above, we invite you to “Cheers for Boomers,” a place where people can know your name, hear your story, and help you finish well in your walk of faith!  We will gather for a brief time of worship and prayer, and then have an informal time of discussion around small tables where we talk about our lives, our joys and frustrations, and our hopes for the future!  We will meet Wednesday, January 9, from 10:00-11:300 am, at the church (BR campus).

The Gathering is coming soon! Join us January 16 at 6:30 pm. Connect with women of the area over a meal, listen to an encouraging speaker, and find opportunity to join and connect with small groups, mentoring, Bible studies, and volunteer opportunities!  RSVP to Sharon Kuhn (mrs.kuhn@outlook.com)

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast:  Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 19, from 8:00-10:00 am.  The buffet-style breakfast will be at Two-Hats Ranch.  Cost $10.  Be watching for more details in next week’s announcement sheet.

A New Semester of Trinity Kids Starts in January:  This is a great time to join the team.  Let us know where you would like to serve:  Nursery, Preschool, Elementary, Greeting, Small Group or Large Group or Behind the Scenes.   Email ConnieLossing@trinityinfo.org or call the office.  You will need to go through the Caring for Kids screening process.

Are You An Engaging Storyteller?  Our preschool team is looking for a couple of people who would like to try their hand at facilitating our large group for ages three to Kindergarden, which occurs during second service.  A script is provided which can be edited to fit your “style.”   Please contact Connie Lossing if interested.   (ConnieLossing@trinityinfo.org or leave a message at the office 796-2600.)

Volunteers Needed for Vertical Classes:   Are you passionate about God’s Word? Do you want to teach the Truth of Scripture to the next generation of believers in a small group setting? If so, Powerhouse Student Ministries is in need of volunteers to help with Sunday morning Vertical classes for 6th-8th grade students! We meet during second service in the Outback where we have breakfast together, dive into the truth of God’s Word, and apply it to our lives. Talk to Trevor or Andrew for more information.

Women’s Ministry Nursery Volunteers:  Volunteers are a huge blessing to moms with small children who would otherwise not be able to attend a Bible study, small group, or be mentored by an older woman. The Women’s Ministry has a huge NEED for nursery volunteers with many opportunities of varying days and times to choose from pending your availability. Contact the office for more details. (You will need to go through the Caring for Kids screening process.)

Missions Committee Need:  The Missions Committee is in need of a secretary. If you have secretarial skills and a heart for missions, we would love to chat with you about our open position.  Please contact the Big Rapids  Church office at 796-2600 for more information.

Guyana Optometry Mission Team 2019 is being formed.  We are planning to work in Crabwood Creek, Guyana, this year from May 10-21 (dates are slightly flexible).  We are looking for optometrists, optometry or pre-optometry students, opticians, pharmacists, pharmacy students, medical doctors, medical students, nurses, nursing students or others involved in the health care  field.  We will also take several helpers (no medical background needed) to help with our trip.  Please contact Julie Hanson at juliehansonod@gmail.com if you would like more information.

We also have an assortment of water bottles, articles of clothing, dishes, etc. that have been left behind.  Please check the lost and found shelves, located in the office wing, to see if anything belongs to you or your child. Items not claimed by February 3 will be donated or discarded.
