Philippians 1-2 Paul is probably writing from Rome. How does 1:3-11 give us a great picture of Paul’s prayer life on behalf of the Christians of Philippi? Are there components that you should incorporate today in your prayer life for others? How does Paul’s attitude toward his imprisonment provide us with a model with dealing with our challenges? What are the benefits of departing and being with Christ versus remaining on in the flesh? What does a manner of life “worthy of the gospel” look like (1:27- 2:11)? What kind of men are we to honor (2:29)? List the descriptions that are given there in context.

John 17:15-17  “I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
