Daily Scripture & Questions

Psalm 6, 8-10, 14, 16, 19, 21 Sometimes it feels like God does not see the evil (Psalm 10:14), but He does, and He declares that all have sinned (Psalm 14 is quoted in Romans 3:10-12). Even in the midst of trouble, the Lord is still our inheritance (see Psalm 16). Does your appreciation of God’s Word compare to David’s appreciation of the Law of the Lord in Psalm 19? Why not spend some time thanking God for His Word?

Family Devotions—Scripture & Questions

Read Psalm 6. Have you ever cried yourself to sleep (see verse 6)? Remember that the Lord hears your prayers and will rescue you at the right time. Now read Psalm 8:3-4 and Psalm 19:1. If it is a clear night, why not go outside with your parents and look at all the stars. How does the bigness of the universe make you feel? Remember you are the apple of God’s eye.

Biblical Prayer Focus

Colossians 1:3-6 “We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing-as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth,”

Praise God for Christ-followers who have demonstrated faith and love because of the gospel’s power. Ask the Lord to make your sharing of the gospel fruitful.
